Day 1 / Arrival – Baku (-/L/D)

Day 2 / Baku (B/L/D)

  • Baku City Tour:
  • We begin our tour with a panorama of the city, viewed from the height of the Upland Park, which clearly gives an idea of the contrasts and scale of the city that covers Baku Bay as a horseshoe. The town is in the shape of an amphitheater, descending to the Caspian Sea.
  • The tour covers the central part of Baku showing of the most interesting historical and architectural sites, as well as visiting a favorite walking place for residents and guests – Baku Boulevard.
  • Also, we will visit the Old Town, there are several dozen historical and architectural monuments are situated in its the territory, including the Palace of the Shirvan Shah’s, the symbol of Baku – Maiden Tower, places of rest and stay of medieval merchants – Caravanserai.
  • Lunch at local restaurant
  • We continued our tour by bus to the central part of Baku to see the most interesting historical and architectural monuments. Today’s tour ends with a visit to the cultural complex named after Haydar Aliyev Culture Center for photo stop (no entrance). Many of those who first saw the design project of the Center named after Heydar Aliyev could not believe that such a project could ever come true. In fact, even in theory, the construction of a building complex with extraordinary design looks far from being realistic. The complex has several exhibitions that can be visited at the choice of the tourist (surcharge).

Day 3 / Baku – Shamakhi – Sheki (B/L/D)

  • Breakfast at the hotel & check out.
  • Drive to Sheki -First our stop will be at Maraza City with unique place – Diri Baba Mausoleum. The mausoleum was built at the beginning of the 15th century in the mountain.
  • Today we will explore Shamakhi – the capital of Shirvan Shahs state from the IX century, the town was one of the most important on the Great Silk Road.
  • In Shamakhi the tourists will visit the famous historical and architectural monuments of the country, such as Juma Mosque and the mausoleum Yeddi Gumbez
  • Lunch Break
  • Sheki tour from visiting the 18th century Khan’s Summer Palace with magnificent frescos and exquisite stained-glass work.
  • We will visit “Shebeke” workshop where the tourists will meet with local craftsman who will tell about “Shebeke” make process. After we will be visiting Caravanserai of Sheki and then will visit workshop of Sheki baklava that is popular all over Azerbaijan.
  • Local Dinner
  • Overnight in Sheki.

Day 4 / Sheki – Lagodekhi Border – Tbilisi (B/-/D)

  • Breakfast time at the hotel & Check Out
  • Departure for Azerbaijan and Georgia Border Lagodekhi
  • Way to Azerbaijan and Georgia Border Laghodekhi border cross.
  • Arrival to Georgia from Lagodekhi land Border.
  • Meeting and changing the car.
  • Drive to Tbilisi.
  • Dinner at local restaurant.
  • Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 5 / Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Tbilisi (B/L/D)

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Tbilisi City Tour. Sightseeing tour around the capital: Old & New Tbilisi streets, Narikala Fortress and Metekhi church with panoramic views on Old Tbilisi, ancient churches of Anchiskhati and Sioni, Sulphur Baths district “Abanotubani”, famous Chardin street name after a French Missioner, Piece Bridge, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Freedom Square, and many other places of interest.
  • We invite you to visit ancient town of extraordinary importance to the Georgian nation – Mtskheta. Standing on the rocky mountaintop at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, overlooking the town of Lunch in a Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking Company.
  • Mtskheta, formerly the capital of the Kingdom of Iberia. *Svetitskhoveli Cathedral is one of the most sacred places in Georgia and, along with Jvari Monastery, the clear highlight of a trip to Mtskheta. It was founded in 1010, built on the site of Georgia’s first church, and contains the graves of the ancient Georgian kings, including Sidonia, who was said to have been buried holding Christ’s robe. Due to its historical significance and numerous ancient monuments, the Historical Monuments of Mtskheta became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.

Day 6 / Tbilisi – Ananuri – Jinvali – Kazbegi – Tbilisi (B/L/D)

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • The route to Kazbegi leads to Mtskheta-Mtianeti region and lies through Georgian military way, which connected the country with the Northern Caucasus. On the way to Kazbegi, we are going to visit: Ananuri Architectural Complex and Jinvali Water Reservoir is easy via Georgian Military Highway. Continuing the route to Kazbegi through popular Georgian winter resort Gudauri.
  • Arrival to Kazbegi, Stepantsminda. The sightseeing tour includes the visits to: Gergeti Trinity Church is located near settlement Stapantsminda, on the Gergeti Mountain (2200m a.s.l.), one of the highest and most beautiful peaks of Caucasus and is the only cross-cupola church in Khevi province. You can enjoy breathtaking views of mount Kazbegi.
