Day 1. Arrival day

Day 2. Tbilisi-Mtskheta city tour

After you’ll visit old capital of Georgia – Mtskheta. Roots of this city deeply goes to Bible, that’s why they call this city second Jerusalem. This city is a burial place of Jesus tunic, he was wearing it, before he was crucified.  Sightseengs of this city are in the World heritage list of UNESCO.

You’ll visit “Svetitskhoveli” – “Alive Column” (church of XI c.) where is a burial place of Jesus Tunic, for that period it was a grandiose building, and this grandiosity was a reason of cutting architects hand. Jvari (“Cross”) Monastery (VI c) and two rivers (Mtkvari and Aragvi) crossing is amazingly beautiful from the hill where Jvari Monastery stands in its first face, how it was built. Inside the church you’ll see a cross which was erected by St. Nino (IV c).

Tbilisi tour you’ll start with holy Trinity church. This is tallest church in Georgia and third tallest church in Europe 101m. tall, which stands on the Elia hill and attracts dozens of visitors;

Metekhi – this church was erected in the fifth century; Like all other Christian churches was destroyed and was several times reconstructing; Church building, which adorns Tbilisi so much, with the monument of Vakhtang I Gorgasali, who founded Tbilisi in the Vth century, was reconstructing in the XIII c. still charms all kinds of eye-witness.

Narikala Fortress was erected in the fourth century and always was very good guarded and difficult captured fortress, length of its wall was 4km. height was 25m. and 25 towers were through the wall; Nowadays it is in ruins, but still attracts with its grand power;

Sulphur bath area – concretely from this area begins history of Tbilisi, Tbilisi, as a city was born on this place in the IV c. and name of city comes from the word “tbili” which means warm and it follows that you are in the warm city, which is famous with Georgians hospitability and marvelous Cuisine;

Peace Bridge – glass construction, which was built in 2010 connects old part of city with a new district; It was designed by Italian architect and consists 10 000 little lights, which is very beautiful at night;

 Shardeen street which wears name of French jeweler and traveler Jean Chardin is a walking street with great number of restaurants and cafes;

Gabriadze Theatre Clock Tower which was built in 2010 by Rezo Gabriadze, and every hour angel comes out to ring the bell; At 12 and at 7 o’clock you can see puppet show “Circle of life”.

Anchiskhati – oldest basilica which is survived in Tbilisi, dates from VI

Day 3. Tbilisi-Kazbegi tour

To visit Kazbegi you’ll use Georgian Military Road, which is 212 km and runs between Tbilisi and Vladikavkaz; On the way you’ll see most beautiful and picturesque places as:

Jinvali reservoir and dam which was built in 1986;

 Ananuri Castle (XVII c.) was a seat of Aragvi eristavi (Duke) a feudal Dynasty, which ruled this area from XIII c. Nowadays it stands there two churches and rest of castle named as “Sheupovari”.

 Gudauri – ski resort area in Georgia, where stands Georgian-Russian “friendship memorial” which was built in 1983, inside the monument you’ll see scenes of Georgian and Russian history;

After reaching Stepantsminda – small town of north-eastern Georgia; You’ll visit Gergeti Trinity church (XIV c) at an elevation of 2170m. under mount Kazbegi (5047m) by Jeep 4X4; In Soviet Era when religious services where prohibited, Gergeti remained a popular tourist destination;

Day 4. Tbilisi-Kakheti tour

This is the region of wine, homeland of wine making;

First you’ll visit Bodbe monastery, which is active nunnery now. Bodbe is a burial place of St. Nino, enlightener of Georgia who came in Georgia from Cappadocia in the fourth century;

After you’ll visit city of love Signagi; First historical notifications about Signagi we have from VII-VIII c.c. Later Georgian King Irakli II built defensive wall for Signagi, which is 4km. length and has 28 towers, height of walls reaching to 22m.
